Dr. Madhu Bhatt Tailang
Dr. Madhu Bhatt adopted and excelled in 'Dhruvapad-Dhamar' tradition which has always been considered too intricate for women.
She has practiced this difficult art from the age of five under the guidance of father and Guru Pt. Laxman Bhatt Tailang.
Dr. Bhatt is the only lady singer of this tradition in Rajasthan. To save this almost extinct art she has devoted 40 years of her life in singing, writing, research, training and organization of several functions for popularization of this style of Indian Classical Music Nationally and Internationally.
K. Bhaskaran
…from the Doordarshan, Indian National TV Channel, introduction for the National Program of Music in 2008 … “K. Bhaskaran has been performing extensively since his debut at the Music Academy Chennai, in 1978. His flute is special for his melodic beauty, rich timbre, and a refreshing originality combined with a rich tradition in the interpretation of ragas. His flute is special for his fine nuances….. a very high level of mastery …receiving accolades from the musicians, media and the public…his enchanting swara improvisations……is a scholar on the scientific and mathematical aspects of music …”
Bhaskaran has received several awards as a performing musician, - Flute Mali award, Senior Instrumentalist Award, (both from the Music Academy Chennai) Asthana Vidwan of the Kanchi Mutt.
Subha Kumar Pindiproli
- Subha Kumar Pindiproli is a self taught musician who learnt to play harmonium at age of 11. As a child he was greatly inspired by music works and composition of Bollywood's Rahul Dev Burman. Rahul Dev Burman stands out to be one of the few musicians from India who made use of Bass Guitar in his songs as early as 1970s. He had an unusual way of arranging music score in an eclectic way. Subha is inspired by music works of Greek musicians like - Giorgio Moroder, Yanni, Vangelis, and Chris Spheeris.
- He draws inspiration from Rock/Pop musicians like - Phil Collins, Genesis, Sting, Sade, Madonna, Billy Idol. And continuing from Bollywood, the works of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, the percussive style of A R R and some works of Vishal-Shekhar stands out as works of geniuses.
- Subha composes and arranges music on keyboards and synthesizers. Here is the list of Discography as of 2012.
